MEDICAL CHECKUP AND ELECTROCARDIOGRAM

To participate, a medical check-up is required for ALL distances, and in some cases, an electrocardiogram (ECG) is also required. Your certificates must be no more than 6 months old prior to the event date.

WHAT IS A MEDICAL CHECKUP AND ELECTROCARDIOGRAM?

A Medical Checkup is a general medical evaluation that reviews your vital signs and current health status to confirm that you are fit to perform physical activity safely.

It must include:

  • Basic clinic history

  • Blood pressure

  • Heart rate

  • General Health Checkup

  • Approval form Certified Medic

An electrocardiogram (EKG) is a test that records the electrical activity of the heart. It allows for the detection of heart abnormalities that may not present symptoms and helps prevent risks during intense physical exertion.
